What to Say to Your U.S. Congressmen

  • 23 million Americans will lose coverage if you pass the American Health Care Act. North Carolinians who are older, who have lower incomes, and those who live in rural communities are particularly at risk of becoming uninsured.

  • Congress' health care plan would make massive cuts to Medicaid through a per capita cap. This radical restructuring of Medicaid—a program with a track record of success for over fifty years—would put pressure on our state budget, hurt struggling health care providers, and ration care for children, seniors, and people with disabilities.

  • Congress' health care bill would cut health care for working people while handing out nearly $600 billion in tax cuts to the wealthy.
